Obituary of Doris Betty Inman

With both sadness and joy, the family announces that Doris Betty, nee Magee, Inman, wife of the late Stirling Inman passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in St. John, NB at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Born in Daytona Beach, Fl. She was the daughter of the late Stanley Magee, (Moncton) and Blanche (Crossman) Huestis (Summerside). She is survived by son, Rev. Dr. Paul, and daughter-in-law, Joyce (Upper Blackville, NB); Granddaughters Leslie (St. John, NB), Lisa (Chris) Doiron (Milton, Ontario), and Brenda (Fredericton, NB); Grandson, Philip (Edmonton, Alberta); Great Grandchildren Rebekah and Isaac Doiron; step-sister Mrs. Carol Marshall (Grand Lake, NS); Aunts Mrs. Lena Crossman, and Mrs. Louise Crossman both of Summerside. She was predeceased by Step-father, Frank Huestis (Summerside), Step-sisters Mrs. Georgie Ronahan, and Mrs. Mildred Arsenault both of Summerside, and Step-brother Walter Huestis (Halifax), and Granddaughter Bethany Inman (Upper Blackville). Betty believed in putting others before herself, and was involved in Christian work from her teen years with Baptist Young People’s Union on through the Baptist Association of Churches (PEI), the United Baptist Women’s Missionary Union (Atlantic Canada), the Ferne Levy Women’s Missionary Society (Charlottetown) where she made a Dominion Life Member, and Board member of The Baptist Foundation (Moncton). Over the years, she attended and was involved in the following churches: Summerside United Baptist, Charlottetown United Baptist, and Tabernacle United Baptist and Forest Hills United Baptist both of St. John. In all relationships and endeavors, Betty served her Lord humbly, lovingly, and well. Betty will be transferred from Brenan’s Funeral Home in Saint John to Maclean Funeral Home in Charlottetown for a Memorial Service February, 7 at 11 AM with Rev. Ron Curtis officiating. Private Interment will follow in People’s Cemetery, Crapaud, PEI at a later date. Visiting hours will be held at MacLean’s Friday, from 7 to 9 PM, and just prior to the Memorial Service.
