Obituary of James Henry Burke

James "Harry" Henry Burke passed away, January 27, 2014 in Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 17, 1933 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Alexander and Loretta (Arseneau) Burke. Harry loved music, singing and playing the guitar. Surviving are his wife, Clara; children, Carol MacDonald; Lynn Cook; Mary (Jeff) Ferris; Tammy Wilson; Tim (Annette) Burke; brother, Vincent Burke; sisters, Louise Brennan and Elizabeth "Betty" Marks; grandchildren, Shawn, Dawn, Melissa, Dwayne, Jennifer, Shelly, Connor, Katie, Alyssa, Sarah and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, William and George; sisters Mary "Alice" Burke, Theresa Mary "Marion" Burke and Alma Bourgeois; son-in-law, Dwayne Cook; grandson, James Wills. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral liturgy will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
