Obituary of Lester N. Bigney

Lester N. Bigney, passed away on August 21, 2014, Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 21, 1946 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Howard and Mabel (Dickeson) Bigney. Lester worked for Beyea Fuels for 28 years and the worked for Park Fuels until he retired 10 years later. He was a kind and generous man. He is survived by his wife, Irene (nee Roy) Bigney; son Clifford (Christy) Bigney, Barnsville; sisters Grace Howe (Bill), Saint John; Victoria Boulter (Ivan), Gagetown; Frances Ross (Paul), Alberta; Carol McFarlane (Bruce), Sussex; brothers Leonard Bigney, Toronto; Jim Bigney, Halifax; mother-in-law, Ann Roy; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Cass; and brother, Joe Bigney. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road. For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice, St. Joseph’s H.O.P.E. Center or the Lung Association of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
