Born in Saint John on June 22, 1946, he was a son of the late Bernice (Noonan) and Gerry Gorman. John was a gentle soul who cared deeply for his family and friends. His incredible strength and quick wit will always be remembered. John had a career as a Printer for the Telegraph Journal and Quebecor Printing. Following retirement, he took the Pharmacy Technician Course at NBCC, graduating on his 60th birthday. He most recently worked at Costco, where he made a lot of new friends serving samples- a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Besides his beloved wife, Nancy, he is survived by his daughters: Margie McGuire (Steve) of Saint John, Kathy Gorman of Toronto, and Elizabeth Gorman (Jeremiah) of Moncton; sons: Harry Gorman of Saint John, and Matt Likely (Roslyn) of Halifax; 4 grandchildren: Kyra, Kamryn, Raven, and Myles; sister, Eileen Delaney of Saint John; brothers: Patrick Gorman (Dorothy) and Raymond Gorman (Shirley) all of Saint John; sister-in-law, Jill Grinstead of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bernice Alderman; and brother, Brian Gorman. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 2-8 pm.
