Obituary of Helen Alberta Rae

The passing of Helen Alberta Rae occurred on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her residence in Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on December 11, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Annie Beatrice (Cheyne) and Gordon Warren Rae. Prior to her retirement, Helen worked as a Teacher, primarily at Glen Falls School, and a Reading Supervisor for the former District 20 (now Anglophone South School District). Helen is survived by her brother, Charlie Rae; sisters-in-law, Rowena Rae and Mary Rae; nieces and nephews: Gordon Rae, Dawn Rae, Judy Coston, Jill Rae, Jane Rae, Bev Pearson, Stephen Rae, Marilyn Williams, and Evelyn Feicht; and cousins: Frank and David Loomer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Gretta Williams and F. Hilda Rae; and her brothers: John and Wendell Rae. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 am with visitation in the chapel at 10:00. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
