Obituary of Kenneth Ashford Ayer

Kenneth Ashford Ayer passed away December 22, 2013 at Kennebec Manor Nursing Home. Born on November 11, 1918 in Saint John he was a son of the late Roy and Edith "Mame" Ayer. Kenneth was very active member of the Saint John Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was very active in building the Kennebec Manor Nursing Home, he would volunteer for many hours helping out where he could, so when it was time for him to move there it was like he was moving home. Kenneth enjoyed walking, was very active and loved life. Surviving are his special niece, Kim Brien; special nephew, Rick Gosslin; and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Ayer; an infant daughter; brothers, Murray Ayer and Clifford Ayer; sister, Alice London. The Family would like to say a special "Thank-You" to the staff of Kennebec Manor Nursing, for the love and attention you gave him, you guys are the best! Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to the Kidney Foundation or to Saint John Seventh-Day Adventist Church would be appreciated by the family.
