Obituary of Gerald Joseph Doiron

The Doiron family would like to invite family and friends of Gerald Joseph Doiron to a "Celebration of Life" ceremony at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Gerald is survived by his beloved wife Barbara (nee Saunders) of nearly 50 years, his children Rose (Stan), Gerry, John (Tammy) and his 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Andrea, Zach, Carsen and Drake. Although Gerald's parents and all of his brothers and sisters have passed away, he has many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Throughout his life, Gerald loved his family pets and had several dogs and cats and is survived by his family's furry companions Minnie, Cosette, Bella, Chewie and Doughnut. Gerald loved the outdoors and spent many times fly-fishing and enjoying picnics with his family and friends. He especially loved returning to Laketon, NB, where he grew up and spent many hours playing cards with his family and occasionally showing off his musical skills at a maritime kitchen party. He is fondly remembered and loved by everyone who has met him and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
