Obituary of Jeanne Elizabeth Little

The death of Jeanne Little of Rothesay, wife of the late Albert "Ted" Little occurred on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on the family farm in Bloomfield on June 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Theora (Allaby) Kelly. Prior to her retirement, Jeanne was employed with Harold Peer Ltd. where she worked in office administration. She was an active member of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Church where she served on the Altar Guild, was appointed treasurer and was a member of Vestry. She enjoyed her various volunteer positions within the church and loved her church community. Jeanne was very passionate about gardening and will be lovingly missed. Jeanne is survived by her children, Peter (Susan) of Quispamsis, Darrell (Christine) of Rothesay, Stephen (Adriana) of Montreal and Lori Coleman (Raymond) of Saint John; siblings, Lorna Russell (Thomas), Robert Kelly (Claire) and David Kelly (Joan); grandchildren, Michael (Angela), Stephen (Jody) and their mother, Donna Little, David, Sarah, Joseph and Alexander Little, Nicholas, Matthew and Ryan Coleman; great-grandchildren, Mya, Clara, Julia, Madylin and Oliver; special companion, Vernon Ottaway of Ketepec; sister-in-law, Jean Kelly; brother-in-law, Charles "Benny" Wishart; dear friend and caregiver, Debbie Moore; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, David Glenn in infancy and siblings, Irene Wishart and Harvey Kelly. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, February 1, from 7-9 PM and Sunday, February 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 from St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Church, Saint John, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Church or to the Church Army of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
