Obituary of Karen Anne Corbin

Corbin, Karen Anne - passed away with her loved ones at her side, including her partner, Mark Elliott at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was born on August 22, 1959 in Saint John to Emile and Muriel (Leblanc) Langlais. Karen worked at the Yellow Pages Group for most of her career retiring as Regional Publishing Manager. She was heavily involved with the community including JDRF-Run for the Cure and Rocmaura Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Pius X Church. Karen was an avid traveler, taking many trips all over the world. She loved her family dearly, hosted many the family get-togethers and was described by her family as the life of the party and a great cook. Besides her partner, Mark and her parents, Karen is survived by her children: Kyle (Monique) and Alexandra (Joe) both of Saint John; the father of her children, Wayne Corbin; sisters: Patty Cormier (Wayne) and Bonnie O'Brien (Mike); brother, Darren Langlais (Heather); granddaughter, Addison Ann and several neices, nephews, grandneices and grandnephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 9:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Saint John Boys and Girls Club (as Karen loved children) or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
