Obituary of Leila S. Innis

The death of Leila S. "Sue" Innis of Saint John occurred at her residence on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born in Belleisle on July 8, 1916 a daughter of the late Stanley E. and Edith M. (Earle) Morrell and is a widow of the late Laurie Hundley, the late Edward Beck and the late John Innis. Mrs. Innis and John are former residents of Norton Shore Road where they raised Beefalo and named them all as pets. She attended Hatfield Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Innis was predeceased by her son, two sisters, and a step-daughter. She is survived by a daughter-in-law Pat Beck (the late Edward), her step-son Carl Beck (Connie); two grandsons Jim Beck (Cindy) and Stephen Beck; several great grandchildren including Jillian Beck and Gina Saunders (Brett); several cousins, nephews, nieces and other step-children. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). There will be no visiting by Sue’s request, however friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment in Erb’s Cove Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. A special thank-you to her friend Edna Morrell, Violet Kippers, the staff of 8th floor of St. Joseph’s hospital, and the staff of Carleton Kirk Lodge.
