Obituary of Ethel M. Cummings

Ethel M. Cummings passed away on November 8, 2014 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born on August 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and Daisy (Levensailor) Moir. In her younger years Ethel was a world traveller, enjoying trips in Canada, United States and Europe. She took part in the Senior Center at Market Square. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 14. She was an avid bowler. Surviving are her children Vincent (Debbie) Cummings, Saint John and Carolyn (Lewis) Dow, Kingston ON; grandchildren, Theresia Buckley (Terry) and their children, Austinn, Katheleena and Amealya; Emily Cummings (Kayol) and their children, Braxtinn, Kohan, Gracie and Zuri; and Pamela Cummings. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Waldo; sister Mary Coffey; brothers Walter Moir, Louis Moir and James Moir. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. A special thank-you to the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa for all their wonderful care.
