Obituary of Faye J. Williston

Faye J. Williston of Golden Grove Road, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the wife of Hugh A. Williston. Born in Saint John on August 29, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Stella (McGrath) Worden. Faye was a volunteer at a great number of organizations and special events over the years. She was a member of PROBUS, and was also a devoted Red Hat Society Member. She graduated from Simonds Regional High School in 1956. She lived her life for her family. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved, spending time in her beloved gardens and shopping. Faye was always grateful for the time she spent in Florida during the winter months and the many valued friendships she made there. She felt very blessed by the love of family and friends that followed her throughout her lifetime and especially in her last days. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Hugh, she will be missed by her children, Alyson Reid (James Teichman), Wendy Williston Hickey (Bill) and Leah Ross (Kyle); grandchildren, Carly Blain (Ross) and Jaclynn Reid, Liam and Shea Hickey, Nathan, Gavin and Sophie Ross; and step grandchildren Samantha and Sarah Teichman; many beloved nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Hub Williston (Judy), Gary Williston (Dawn); sisters-in-law, Lenore MacDonald (Clayton), Mona Thomas (Bill), Gail Ramsay (Ivan) and Wilma Williston. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, Lois Anderson and brothers-in-law, Boyd Anderson and Carl Crozier Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Church 646 Westmorland Road, Saint John with a reception to follow at the church hall. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
