Obituary of Sarah Anne Smith

Sarah Smith passed away quietly at her home the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born on February 20, 1925 at London Derry, Northern Ireland to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Dobbin) Finn. Sarah was a loving mother and grandmother; she dedicated her life to her family. She had been the longest residing resident at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, living there for over 25 years. She is survived by a son, Allan Smith (Clare) of Saint John; daughter, Elaine Daley (Stephen) of Quispamsis; four grandchildren: Erin and Sara Dawn Smith and Harry and Anne Daley; sister, Mary Flowers of Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Percival Smith in 2000; sister, Nancy and brothers: Henry and Andrew Finn. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Dr. V. A.
