Obituary of Marjorie C. Gorham

It is with great sadness that Judy announces the passing of her beloved mother, Marjorie Carroll (Cline) Gorham, which occurred on Friday, December 18, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Besides being a loving wife to her late husband Russell Gorham and cherished mother to Judy, Marjorie was a parishioner of Portland United Church and for several years participated in various church activities such as the Jeanette Ball Unit and church dinners. She volunteered for the local Red Cross during WWII and most recently Meals on Wheels. Besides her husband, Russell, she was predeceased by her mother, Emma Jane Cline and one brother, Richard who perished during service to his country. Judy wishes to thank the staff of the Restorative Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital who demonstrated the true meaning of caring and compassion. Also, a special thank you to Dr. James West who was a friend as well as compassionate physician. By the request of the family there will be no funeral home visiting. A private graveside service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Restorative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
