Obituary of Eileen Clara Fowler

The passing of Eileen Fowler of St. Martins, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 17, 2009. She was born on April 17, 1930 at Coles Island to the late Verne and Violet (Northrup) Wood. Eileen was a registered nurse working at the Saint John General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and retiring from the Sussex Health Center in 1998. She formerly resided at St. Martin’s Lions Manor. She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Jones (Brian) of Bains Corner; one sister, Donna Wiggins (Harold) of Quispamsis; two grandchildren, Shelly Reed (Billy) and Kimberly Jones (Mike); two great grandchildren, Ella and Owen one brother-in-law, Otis McGarity of Hampton, one sister-in-law, Kaye Wood of Alberta and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eileen was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Verne and a sister, Rosa Lee. At Eileen’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will be held in the spring of 2010 in the Coles Island Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
