Obituary of Dorothy Eleanor Kelter

Dorothy Eleanor Kelter of Saint John, wife of the late James Frederick Kelter, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born at Saint John on August 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Christine (Christie) Mitchell. Tuddy, as she was affectionately known, was a member of the Brunswick Drive High Rise Golden Seniors Group, and enjoyed both bingo and karaoke. Dorothy is survived by her children, James Kelter (Claudette) of Saint John, Starr McLeod (Frank) of Campbell River, BC, and Joseph Kelter of Calgary, AB; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers.
