Obituary of Charles Jerome Dugan

Dugan, Charles Jerome 1933-2015. Husband of the late Jean Marie (Parks) passed away at his residence, Shannex in Quispamsis, NB on Sunday, September 13, 2015 with his family at his side. Born in Bath NB February 23, 1933 he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Higgins) Dugan. Charles was an avid sportsman, enjoying golf, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. As a Sheet Metal worker by trade he worked at Northern Telecom and Irving Pulp and Paper for several years before moving on to the New Brunswick Community College as an Instructor, retiring in 1993. Charles is survived by 9 children; Sandra (Bob) Hosford of Kingston Peninsula, Richard of Quispamsis, Sheron (Gary) Bettle of Quispamsis, Jim (Kathleen) of Saint John, Leo (Lynn) of Saint John, Deborah Dugan, Mary Dugan, Trish Saunders and Juanita (Harold) Kingston all of Quispamsis, son in-law Bruce Mercer of Quispamsis, 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, brothers Philip (Francina) and William of Moose Mountain NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Jean, eldest daughter Linda Mercer, son in-law Hugh Saunders and grandchildren Robert Dugan and Stephanie Gallant, brothers; Leroy and Gerard and sisters; Geraldine Hatty and Jeanne Marie Burns. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Quispamsis, on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10AM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
