Obituary of Marion Douglas Furay

The death of Marion Douglas Furay of Douglas Avenue, Saint John, occurred on Monday, May 28, 2007 at her residence. Born in Saint John on September 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Dollin) Furay. Marion was the Receptionist at Bustin’s Fine Furniture for almost 20 years before her retirement. She is survived by two sisters, Jean MacPherson of Halifax, NS and Agnes Furay of Saint John, three nieces, Marion Stairs (Bob) of Halifax, NS, Susan Hawkes (David) of Halifax, NS and Elizabeth Pickerem (Darren) of Florida, USA, two great nieces and four great nephews. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Wallace MacPherson. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM. A private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Church of St. Andrew and St. David or the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
