Obituary of Ethel Rose Robertson

The death of Ethel Rose Robertson, wife of the late James Robertson, occurred on February 10, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Flaherty) Quigg. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching the Blue Jays and horse racing. She took great pride in her family and actively participated in the lives of her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Ronald and his wife Rosalie of Bloomfield, James of Saint John, daughter Mary McLaughlin and her husband James of Saint John, grandchildren William, Donna, Michael, Danny, Catherine, Jennifer, Suzanne, Mark and Carrie, her 16 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her daughter Jean Ann and her husband Gerry Griffin, brother Barry Quigg and sister Margaret McCarthy predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00 am, from St. Ann’s Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
