Obituary of Vincent J. Smith

The death of Vincent Smith of Rothesay, NB, husband of the late Charlotte (Dobbin) Smith, occurred on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at his residence. Born in Sussex, NB, he was a son of the late, Frederick and Margaret (Hawkes) Smith. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay. Survived by two brothers, Maxwell (Della) of Scarborough, ON, Frederick (Iona) of Saint John, NB, one sister, Joy Peacock of Saint John, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he is predeceased by two brothers, Joffrey and Austin. By request there will be no visiting, a private family service will be held at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment to take place in St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, Gondola Point. Remembrances may be made to St. Luke’s Cemetery Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
