Obituary of Beulah E. Doherty

The death of Mrs. Beulah Evans (Gibson) Doherty of Cranston Ave, wife of William Doherty, occurred on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Marysville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Hannah (Evans) Gibson. Beulah had worked as a waitress since she was 15 years old in various places, active in many areas of the United Church. Besides her husband she is survived by one son William of Riverview, one daughter Carol-Ann Doherty of Saint John, two sisters Mary (Robert) Mair of Pennsylvania, Marjorie (Bris) Hallady of Ontario, two granddaughters Megan (Steve) Chorney, Bronwyn Doherty, one great-granddaughter Jennifer Chorney, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three sisters Doris Mahar, Geraldine Plowman and Glenna Gibson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday, September 29, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to Romero House or to the North End Food Bank.
