Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Stevens

The death of Jean Elizabeth Stevens of Saint John occurred on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Leighside, Kings Co., NB, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Hazel (Burns) (McCullough) Stevens. Jean had been a life-long resident of this area and had been employed with the Board of School Trustees for twenty-eight years before retiring in 1986. She is survived by two sisters, Marion Downing of Toronto, ON and Lois (Gerry) Baxter of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. At Jean's request there will be no visiting or funeral service. A private burial will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
