Obituary of Frank B. Harley

The death of Mr. Frank B. "Frankie" Harley, of 33 Smythe Street, Saint John, NB, husband of Gloria Jean (Casey) Harley, occurred on Sunday, January 19, 2003 peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side, following a period of illness. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late William and Elsie May (Bonnell) Harley. Frank was a life-long resident of Saint John, and was a member of St. Paul's (Valley) Church. For a number of years, Frank had been employed with Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery and Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Frank was associated with the Merchants of the Saint John City Market, Pete's Pub, and he was a special friend of the Saint John Police Force, by whom he will be remembered for his significant respect and friendship. Frankie was the last surviving member of his immediate Frankie is survived by his wife, Gloria, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Wilfred, Ronald, Alfred, and George and a sister, Doris. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at 2:00 PM from St. Paul's (Valley) Church. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
