Obituary of Ronald H. Taylor
The death of Ronald H. Taylor, husband of Freda E. (Smith) Taylor, occurred on January 28, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Samuel J. and Mabel M. (Potter) Taylor. He served overseas with the Second Canadian Infantry Brigand during WW II. He was a commercial traveler for the clothing and floor industry. He was a member of the United Commercial Traveler's Jack Kidd Council # 755, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #64, Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club, the Hampton Golf and Country Club, the Men of Fundy and St. Martins Lodge # 30 F&AM. Besides his wife he is survived by his nephews Peter and his wife Margaret Taylor of Rothesay, Brian and his wife Anita Taylor of Calgary, AB, his brother-in-law Gordon and his wife Lois Smith of Bridgewater, NS, his sister-in-law Joyce Smith of Fairvale, nieces and nephews Becky and Bruce Campbell of Halifax, Tony and Nancy Smith of Lunenburg, NS, Janet and Bob McKinney of Quispamsis, Sara and Stephen Harding of Dawson Creek, BC, David and Marie Peacock of Fairvale, Lawrence and Jeannine Smith of Edmonton, AB, Keith and Sydney Smith of the Kingston Peninsula, Stephen and Brenda Smith of Fairvale, Roger and Joanne Smith of Ottawa, ON, and Geoffrey Smith of Vancouver, BC., and his many grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Eric S. Taylor. At his request there will be no visiting. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), family and friends will gather at Brenan's Chapel on Friday, January, 31, 2003, at 2:15 PM, for Prayers of Committal. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
