Obituary of Aagje Agnes olde Damink
The death of Mrs. Aagje Agnes olde Damink, wife of Mr. Hendrikus Johannes (Henk) olde Damink of Saint John, NB occurred unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday, February 02, 2003. Born in Amsterdam, Holland, she was the daughter of the late George Hendrik and Johanna (Schaae) Jansen. Mrs. olde Damink was a member of the Parish of St. Pius X. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and flowers but her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She and her husband shared many happy memories tenting with their children in several locations over the years but usually in warm climates; South Carolina being one of their favourite spots. Besides her loving husband Henk, Mrs. olde Damink will also be sadly missed by her son George (Donna), Saint John, NB, daughter Nancy (Mrs. Anthony Koziol), Ottawa, Ont., brother George (Hilda) Jansen, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, two sisters; Johanna Bailey, Saint John, NB and Charlotte (Mrs. Vincent Mersereau), Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, seven grandchildren; Andrew, Donnie, Lia, Daniel, Adam, Lisa, Mary, one nephew in Saint John as well as two nieces, several cousins and one aunt in Holland. Mrs. olde Damink was predeceased by one grand daughter, Angela. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Douglas McNeill, on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, Somerset St. with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
