Obituary of Frederick Henry Dean

The death Frederick Henry Dean of 44 Penny Road, Saint John, husband of Ernestine Jean (Baxter) Dean, occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Henry James and Emmaline Brown (Ackerman) Dean. Mr. Dean was a book keeper/office manager for various businesses in Saint John, until his retirement. He was a member of the Grand Bay Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Masonic Order, Saint John Lodge #2, F & AM, the Shrine Club and was in the Director Staff and the York Right. Fred was also actively involved in the scouting movement for many years Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Brian Dean (Catherine) of Port Elgin, one daughter, Jean Dean of Saint John, one sister, Mildred Patricia Finlay of Toronto, ON, three grandchildren, Emily, Landen and Simon, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one grandson, Noah, one grand-daughter Maggie and one brother, Clarence. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 7-9 PM. Memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Main Street, Saint John on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at 2:00 PM.
