Obituary of Calvin J. McLeod

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Calvin J. McLeod, of Sunrise Drive, Saint John, husband of Shirley (Colpitts) McLeod on Friday, September 5, 2003 at his residence. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Herbert H. and Nellie M. (Perkins) McLeod. Following his retirement from Saint John Shipbuilding and Drydock where he was employed for 22 years, Calvin was employed with the Hardman Group and most recently, until his illness, with Fortis Properties, Brunswick Square. Besides his wife, Shirley, he is survived by two daughters Kimberly (Scott) Barton of Hampton and Andrea (Mark) Latimer of Clifton Royal, brother Darrell Murray of McAdam, three grandsons, Ryan, Scott and Kyle, two grand daughters, Ashley and Erika, three great-grandchildren Katie, Emma-Leigh and Austin, his dear mother-in-law, Margaret Colpitts of Norton, a special uncle, Lawson Mercer of Bloomfield, several uncles, aunts, cousins nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Beatrice Thomas of Winnipeg and brother, Herbert I. McLeod of Little Lepreau. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Norton. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Extra Mural Hospital Foundation or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
