Obituary of Archibald James Tucker

The death of Archibald James Tucker, husband of the late Irene (Smith) Tucker, occurred on Monday, September 8, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Burlington, Hants County, NS, he was the son of the late Percy and Theresa (Sanford) Tucker. He served with the Canadian Army during the Second World War. He was formerly employed with McCain Foods Limited. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Tucker of Saint John; his grandson, Joseph; two sisters, Kathleen Sanford of Halifax, NS and Jeanette Moore of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews. His sisters, Edith Rafuse, Madeine Tucker, Dolly Tucker and Ethel Benidict and his brothers, Fraser, Arthur, George, Garbisy and Gesner, predeceased him. The family will receive relatives and friends at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), from 11:00 AM until 12:00 NOON, on Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at which time the funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honor.
