Obituary of James Douglas Arthurs

The death of James Douglas Arthurs of Saint John, husband of Greta (Fox) Arthurs, occurred on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Gordon and Beatrice (Laing) Arthurs. James was employed with Genesis Electric and J.W. Electric as an Electrical Contractor. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons: Michael (Jana) and Jamie (Ann Knox) Arthurs of Saint John, his daughters: Sheryl (Freidrick) Blanke of North Carolina, USA, Suzanne (Anthony) Ripley of Minnesota, USA, and Alethia (Bill) McKinney of Saint John. His sisters: Carolyn (William) Vail of Saint John and Mary Lou (Charles) Hart of Oregon, USA. His granddaughters: Jessica McKinney, Michaela, Emma, Ariel and Adeana Arthurs, Abagail Ripley, Brianna and Marena Blanke. His grandsons: BJ McKinney and Gerry Blanke, as well as several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday 2:00 pm at Portland United Church, Newport Crescent, off of Millidge Avenue. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
