Obituary of Eliane Porter

The death of Eliane Porter of 180 Rue De L'Eglise, Edmundston, NB, wife of the late Willard Porter, occurred on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St-Léonard d'Aston, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Elmina (Bérubé) Demers. Mrs. Porter was employed with Zeller's Department Store for many years before her retirement in 1992, at age 75. She is survived by two sons, Michael Porter (Janet) and their children, Geoffrey (Tiffany), Ryan (Jacqueline) and Julie of Saint John and David Porter (Deborah) and their children Allison-Jayne and Stephanie of Quispamsis, three sisters, Gratia Demers, Rita Demers-Spalding and Marielle Dermers-Love, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Adrien Demers and Guy Demers. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Edmundston, NB, on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. A Memorial Mass will also be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, Saint John, NB, on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM.
