Obituary of Helen Jane Baird

The death of Helen Jane Baird, wife of the late Guy W. Baird of Saint John, NB occurred on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Perth-Andover, NB, a daughter of the late Ralph and Candace (Kennedy) Flanagan, she had been an employee of K-Mart as the Food Department Manager and later as receptionist for Dr. Fanjoy. Helen was an active member of the Senior Citizens Club of the City Market for over twenty-five years and had served as a Board Member. Survived by three daughters, Gail (William) Dacey of Saint John, Linda (Terry) Parker of Saint John and Ann (Lloyd) Gallop of Ottawa, ON; one son, Phillon Baird of Saint John; two sisters, Mildred Barker of Perth Andover and June (Robert) Wright of Fort Fairfield, Maine; several grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents and husband. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Friday, August 20, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11 am followed by interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Alzheimer Society of Saint John or a charity of the donor's choice.
