Obituary of Ruth Z. Heans

The death of Ruth (Silliphant) Heans, wife of the late James Heans, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 6, 2005. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late, William and Jessie (Anderson) Silliphant. Survived by two daughters; Sandra (Allen) Morris of Gondola Point, and Frances of Saint John; two sons: Beverly (Brenda) Heans of Long Reach; Ronald (Margie) Heans of Gondola Point; survived by one brother: Frank Silliphant of Florida, U.S.A; ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers John, Walter, and William; four sisters Bertha Lattimer, Alice Cox, Audrey Wheaton, and Helen Saunders. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424). The memorial service will be held on Saturday July 9th, 2005 in Brenan's Chapel at 11 am. Prior to the memorial service there will be visitation from 9-11 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery following the service. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
