Obituary of Lawrence Earl

Lawrence Earl, 89, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 5, 2005 following a period of failing health after a most remarkable life as a journalist, photographer and writer of books. Born in Saint John, his parents were Herman and Anna (Stern) Wiezel. He was a longtime resident of London, England and lived recently in Grand Bay-Westfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane Armstrong Earl, his sister Gladys Davis and his brother Clint Wiezel. Mr. Earl is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Donations to the Saint John Jewish Historical Society, the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, or to the charity of your choice. No flowers please. The funeral will take place at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
