Obituary of Shirley Florence Neeley

The death of Shirley Florence (Manning) Neeley, wife of the late John J. (Jack) Neeley, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 23, 2005, following a brief illness. Shirley was born in Saint John on July 3, 1927, daughter of the late Percy and Ethil Manning. Shirley was a member of the I.O.D.E. and the Liberal Association and very active at the Loch Lomond Villa, where she resided. She spent her early working career at the Admitting Office, D.V.A. Hospital, followed by many years of service with the New Brunswick Heart Foundation. Shirley was predeceased by her brother Gordon Manning. She is survived by brothers Hazen (Bea) Manning, Oshawa, Ontario and Floyd (Ethyl) Manning, Saint John; sister-in-law Jean, Moncton; several nieces and nephews and her large extended family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 from Loch Lomond Villa Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
