Obituary of Pauline Clara Carew

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pauline Carew announces her passing which occurred on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 17, 1936, Pauline was a daughter of the late Fred and Hazel (Seely) Wade. Pauline enjoyed her career as a Practical Nurse where she focused on home care. She took pleasure in crafting, attending the seniors club in the City Market, and her pets, having all kinds over the years. Above all, Pauline had a great love for her family. A love that extended to those in foster care, having 17 kids in her home at one point, and some of whom she always kept in contact with. Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ester (Gary) VanWart, Emdon (Nancy) Fleet, Mary-Jean (Greg Clarke)Smith and Wade Fleet, her 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many step grandchildren, her siblings: David (Ruth) Wade, Dorothy (Vincent) Boucher and Clayton Wade along with several nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her first husband Lester Fleet, her step mother Lalia (Ewart) Wade, her brothers: Robert Manley and Arthur Wade and 2 great grandchildren. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 4 at 2:00 PM from Oak Point Anglican Church with interment to follow at Oak Point Cemetery.
