Obituary of Eleanor Bernice Martin

Martin, Eleanor Bernice – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eleanor Martin announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, September 15 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 5, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Bernice (Bishop) Hannah. Eleanor was a dedicated teacher for many years and loved working with children. Any stray cat was always welcomed at her door. Many found a loving home there. She especially loved her dogs; Taffy, Molly and Maggie. Eleanor will be missed by her beloved daughter, Lynne Martin; her cherished grandson, Jordan Galati; brother, Neville Hannah (Maxine); sister, Betty Barton (the late Bob); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, David and Rod Hannah. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Celebration of Eleanor’s life will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brenan’s Reception Centre, and all are welcome. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the SPCA – Animal Rescue.
