Obituary of Francis Gerard Kneeland

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frank Kneeland announces his passing which occurred on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on May 2, 1933 to the late Roy and Beatrice (O’Brien) Kneeland. Frank enjoyed life and definitely had an ear for music; he decided to learn to play guitar at the age of 65 and was a natural. Along with playing, he also enjoyed singing and dancing. Frank will be remembered for his sense of humour and the nicknames he bestowed on those he met. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Frank is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hoyt, his children: Bernie Kneeland, Terry (Barb) Kneeland, Carl (Debbie) Kneeland, Ardeth (Frank) Cyr and Mary Theresa of Ontario, his grandchildren: Joshua, Brenda, Candace, Terrance, Stephen, and Tabitha, his step-children: Tina Bass and Shane Paley, and step-grandchildren: Ashley Kelsie, Kalene, Cameron, Joey and Jaxx, his sister-in-law Pluney O’Grady and many great grandchildren. Other than his parents, Frank was also predeceased by his brother Bernie O’Grady and step-daughter Billie-Jo. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31 from 7-9 only. A funeral liturgy will take place at Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, February 1 at 2PM with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
