Obituary of Irvin Elery Mott

With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Irvin E. Mott announces his passing, which occurred on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Belyeas Cove, NB on September 4, 1929, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Logue) Mott. Irvin retired from Centracare in 1991 after working in various positions for 35 years. He enjoyed most of his retirement at Belyeas Cove overlooking the beautiful Washademoak Lake, gardening, landscaping and boating. Irvin will be missed by his wife, Verna A. (Short) Mott with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 11.; his children, Richard Mott (Cindy), Roger Mott (Dale), Carole Phillips (David); three grandsons, Jeremy (LauraLee), Christopher and Brandon Mott; sisters, Lilly Barnes, Ruth Norrad (Bert), Pat Samuelsen (Ove); a sister-in-law, Hazel Mott; a brother-in-law, John MacDonald; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Irvin was predeceased by his brothers; Blake and Ivan Mott and sisters; Grace MacDonald and Georgie Urquhart. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Irvin’s life will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Belyeas Cove Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
