Obituary of Karl Wilbert Cole

It is with deep sadness that the family of Karl Wilbert Cole announces his passing, which occurred unexpectedly on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at Gardiner Creek, NB. Born at Spencer's Island, NS on March 13, 1943, he was a son of the late Carl Cole and Florence (Spicer) Blenkhorn. Karl is survived by his son Anthony (Carrie Scoville); grandchildren: Jacob, Jessica and Devon; brothers: Paul Cole and Dennis Blenkhorn; sisters: Ardyth Otten (Jurgen), Mary Blenkhorn and Brenda Fancy; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and extended family. Besides his parents, Karl was predeceased by his stepdaughter Penny Stewart and brothers: Artimus Cole and Brian Blenkhorn. Karl had a love of hockey, softball, motorcycle racing, bird watching and fishing. He retired after 25 years from a long career at CP Rail, where he performed many jobs, ending his career in management. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Karl's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Karl can be made to the Autism Centre Inc. (Community) or a charity of the donor's choice.
