It is with heartfelt sadness yet peace that the family of Cynthia Anne (Kingston) McFarlane, announce her passing, which occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital on May 11,2016. Born in Saint John, NB on September 26, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Alexa (Carter) Kingston. Although Cynthia worked outside the home for many years at different times in her life, her devotion remained to her family and church, Portland United. Besides her husband of 53 years Norman McFarlane, Cynthia is survived by her daughter Dr.Christine and Mike Pippy and her three granddaughters Alexandra, Ashlyn and Meaghan Pippy as well as her son Bruce and his wife Jennifer Rodine. She is also survived by her elder brother Walter and his wife Marjorie as well as her elder sister Nancy and her husband Leon. Also survived by Ray Titus, wife of her predeceased sister Jean and sister in laws Lois and Faith Kingston, wives of her brothers Mack and Reggie respectively. The youngest of eleven children in a tight knit family, she is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers John, Ken, Malcolm, and Reggie, and sisters Jean, Helen, Phyllis, and Elsie. On behalf of the family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of the CAM unit who became her extended family over the last five years. Words can’t express how much we appreciate all you have done. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday May 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
