Obituary of Judith Ann Collins

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Judith Ann Collins, loving wife of Mark E. Livingstone, announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2016. Born in Saint John on December 23, 1952, she was a daughter of Claire M. (Gallant) and the late Francis X. Collins. Judith was an LPN at Rocmaura Nursing Home for over 35 years, retiring in 2013. She loved the company of the residents as well as her coworkers. Her passion was caring for people, including her mother, Claire, up until she was unable to do so on her own. She loved baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends, many of whom she had kept in contact with her whole life. She especially enjoyed being with her beloved dog, Molly, who was like a child to her. In addition to her husband Mark Livingstone, and her mother, Claire Collins, Judith is survived by her siblings, David Collins (Barb) of Halifax, Martha MacPherson (Kim) of Moncton, Tim Collins (Donna) of Saint John, Eileen Dobson of Saint John and Frank Collins of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Molly. Judith was predeceased by her father, Francis Collins and a brother-in-law, Al Dobson. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Rocmaura Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
