Obituary of Duncan A.T. MacDonald

It is with sadness that the family of Duncan A.T. MacDonald announces his passing on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 31, 1947 he was a son of the late Duncan and Wenonah (Shields) MacDonald. Duncan, a Saint John Vocational School graduate, had a passion for spending time outdoors, and loved fishing and reading. Duncan is survived by three sisters, Helen Parker (Donald), Edith Parker (Robert) and Sadie DeLong (the late Donald); one brother, Ronald Shields (Cecilia); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Hugh MacDonald. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:30 am from St. Augustine’s Church. Interment will take place in St. Augustine’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, a Spiritual Intention at any Parish or a remembrance to the ALS Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
