Obituary of Doris M. Burgoyne

Doris M. Burgoyne passed away on September 13, 2013 at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Charles R. and Frances (Causey) Bowes. Surviving are her daughters, Carole A. Donovan (John "Jack"), Rothesay; Barbara Burgoyne, Kitchener, ON; brother, Leo Bowes; sister-in-law Viola Bowes; grandchildren, R. Anthony "Tony" Ratchford (Suzanne); Keith A. Ratchford (Heather MacInnes), Christina M. Thorne (Brian), Nicol Duran (Amine Slimani) and Alejandro A. Duran (Patricia), 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Doris was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Burgoyne; brothers Robert Bowes and his wife Dorothy and Ronald Bowes; sisters Marjorie and her husband Edmund McDermott, and Genevieve and her husband Donald McLaughlin; and sister-in-law, Irene Bowes. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, September 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, Saint John, on Monday, September 16, 2013, at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Rocmaura Foundation, C.N.I.B. or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
