Obituary of Rose Marie McKinney

McKinney , Rose Marie – One journey ends and another begins as God has called one of his most precious angels home. On Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital our dear mother, went to once again join our father, Charles McKinney. She was born in Belledune, NB on February 24, 1944. Her passion in life was loving her family and helping others, especially children any way she could. To all whose life she touched, she will be missed, including her Town and Country Campground family and her special little sidekick, Precious. Rose is survived by her mother, Frances Garland (Dempsey), one son, Bill (Alethia); two daughters, Tracy Dawn McKinney and Jennifer Hunt (Wade); five grandchildren, Jessica and BJ McKinney, Kristin, Haley and Thomas Hunt; one brother, Douglas Guitard; sister, Rita Ferron; exceptionally special adopted family: Eddie, Janice, Ronald and Amanda Brodeur and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; father, Norman Garland and brother, Clary Guitard. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on with visiting on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 12 noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to IWK Children’s Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
