Obituary of Lois L. Wilcox

Lois, wife of Roger L. Wilcox of Utopia, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Trenton, Ontario on August 21, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Ellen (Montgomery) Squires. Lois worked as a bank teller, and then Woolworth’s as a clerk. She enjoyed gardening, and in her earlier years, enjoyed playing softball. She and Roger travelled to Mexico and the Caribbean, and wintered in Florida for several years, and retired to Utopia in 1995. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Lois is survived by her children, Randy Wilcox (Cheryl) of Saint John and Cathy Miller (Bill) of Sarnia, ON; daughter-in-law Fatima Salvador of Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren Nathan and Nicholas Wilcox, Ainsley, Britten, Lauren, and Thomas Miller, Brandi Boudreau, Matthew Wilcox, and Shane Salvador; sister Audrey Reynor of Trenton, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by a son, Gregory in 1999; and by several sisters and one brother. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 6-8 PM. Interment will take place privately in the St. George Rural Cemetery.
