Obituary of Thomas Robert Horsler

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Thomas Robert Horsler, which occurred on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 9, 1944 he was a son of the late Thomas Bedford and Ella (Carter) Horsler. He is survived by his children, Thomas Horsler Jr (Tanya McCready-Horsler) and Sherry (Horsler) Boone both of Saint John; grandson, Thatcher; and two nieces. Thomas was employed at the Irving Oil Refinery for 20 years and Heritage Salmon, Blacks Harbour for 6 years until his retirement. He enjoyed reading, gardening and motorcycles. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister, Barbara Horsler-Theall. In keeping with Thomas’ wishes there will be no formal visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
