Obituary of John Henry Miller

Passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Veteran Wing, on June 11, 2011. Born in Saint John on February 18, 1932 he was a son of the late, George and Edna (Orr) Miller. John was a veteran of the Korean War with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He worked for the Saint John Dry Dock for 35 years as a dock rigger. John was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. Survived by his loving wife, Diana, his daughters, Johanna (Dan) McIntrye and Angela (Dan) Henwood; seven grandchildren, Cristina, Megan (T.J.), Ashley, Courtney (Mike), Riley, Julianna and Isabella "Bella"; one brother, David (Marilyn) Miller; two nieces, Kristy (Jesse) Hulsman and Wendy Miller; two aunts, Hilda Cameron and Vera Slocum; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews from Diana’s family . Predeceased by his parents, George and Edna Miller and several aunts and uncles. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, June 13, 2011 and Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond Road on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home.
