Obituary of Julie Germaine Arsenault

The death of Julie Germaine Arsenault (neé Losier) beloved wife of the late Edgar J. Arsenault, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, May 6, 2011 surrounded by her family. Born in Tracadie, NB on September 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raphaël and Cécilia (Brideau) Losier. Newly married, Julie moved to Saint John in 1949 with her husband where they raised six children and worked on various projects together. She and Edgar faithfully attended St. Pius X Church. Julie is survived by five children, Norma (John Frost), Saint John, Ronald (Cathy), Darlings Island, Brenda (Dale Porter), Hammonds Plains, NS, Karen (Norman Chantler), Apohaqui, and Keith (Debbie), Sherwood Park, Alberta; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mai Losier, Eva Losier, and Cécilia Losier, all of Tracadie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear husband Edgar in 2009; one son Roland in 1975; brothers Arthur, Robert, Peter, Hilaire and sisters Grace (Gautreau), Martha (Ferlatte), Alexina (Losier) and Agnes Losier. Julie was the last surviving member of her family. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
