Geraldine (Shields) Crowley, which occurred on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Willard was born on January 20, 1935 in Newmarket, York County, a son of the late LeBlanc and Ella (Williams) Crowley. He was a welder and boilermaker by trade, having worked most of his career at Ocean Steel, but could turn his hand to most anything, and was always willing to offer a helping hand. He enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Willard is survived by his children, Anthony "Tony" Crowley (Charlene) of Saint John, Robert "Rob" Crowley (Christine) of Quispamsis, Joann Faubert (Kevin) of Quispamsis, and Mary Elizabeth Crowley (George Totton) of Bloomfield, Kings County; grandchildren Jason (Candace), Cathleen (Michael Hardy), Michael (Kaitlin), Shaun, Aaron, and Lee Crowley; great grandchildren Tyler, Rylee, Kylee, and Mariah; sisters Jean Fontaine of Charlottetown, Ruby Landry (George) of Chateauguay, QC, Glenna Power of Quispamsis; a brother, Dorn Crowley (Helene) of Corunna, Ontario; a sister-in-law, Irene Bastarache and family; a special niece, Patricia Tracey; and many special friends including Joseph and Della Stephen and Francis and Heather DeGrace; as well as several nieces and nephews. Willard was predeceased by a grandson, Jamie Crowley; and by sisters Phyllis Tracey (Arthur), and Doreen Crowley. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church, Bayside Drive, on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
