Obituary of Helen Rita Dicks

The death of Helen Rita Dicks of Saint John, NB, occurred on Monday, January 31, 2011. Born in Saint John on October 29, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Elliott Morrell and Louise Morrell-Vale. Helen loved bowling and fishing. In her earlier years she enjoyed to travel. She worked for Nelson’s Clearing House. Helen is survived by her two sons, Brian (Gail) Dicks of Darlings Island, NB, and Donald Dicks of Saint John; daughter, Sandra (Alfred) Richards of Fairfield, NB; one brother, Ernest Morrell; one sister, Ethel Northrup; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one granddaughter, Donna; two grandsons, Roger and Anthony. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 12 noon from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date.
